TRENDING: HEXAGON TILE

Spring has officially sprung here in Florida! Everywhere we look we are finding awesome new tile ideas. One trend that has particularly stuck out to us this year is the hexagon shaped tile. On today’s #TileTuesday we’re covering everything from small decorative hex backspashes to large format hex floor tiles and how we’ve used them or how we plan to use them!

LARGE FORMAT HEX

We are super excited to share one of our newer projects that was recently completed in collaboration with Emerald C’s Development. The reception area was designed to make a statement as guests and clients enter the building. Daltile’s new Beehive collection features a variety of large format hexagon porcelain tiles that look stunning in commercial applications. The large scale 24x20” geometric shape is bold and fun yet sophisticated.

MEDIUM FORMAT HEX

This hexagon tile measures at about 10” which is significantly smaller than the large format we used above. We are currently proposing this beautiful Arcadia Heartwood Silver Pine by AKDO for a client to use at the face of their outdoor bar. The subtle wood texture in addition to the hex shape would make for an awesome focal feature.

SMALL FORMAT HEX

Last but not least, we have this adorable 4” size glazed hexagon tile by Lunada Bay Tile. The metallic glaze changes the color of the tile as the light hits it, making it a WOW factor in any application. This size hex would be perfect for a boutique cafe back splash. We are dying to use it somewhere so stay tuned in to our Instagram feed to see if it makes it into one of our projects this year!
